Brand refresh, Logo design, Brand guidelines

Project overview

This project began with a PNG file. The client initially reached out with what seemed like a simple request: recreate their existing logo as a vector so it could be used consistently across digital platforms. The issue was that the logo itself felt outdated and no longer reflected the quality of the already well-established brand. Alongside delivering the requested vector version, I decided to explore a more refined direction and presented an additional logo concept that modernized the identity while staying true to the brand's values.

The challenge

Although the visual direction evolved into a brand refresh, there were a few non-negotiable elements from the very beginning. The client wanted to preserve the handwritten wordmark from the original logo, keep pink as the primary brand color, and ensure the overall identity remained feminine and approachable. With those constraints in place, I explored different ways to modernize the brand while respecting what the client and their community already recognized.

The Results

Beyond the logo redesign, I expanded the visual system by defining a consistent color palette, creating brand guidelines, and designing a set of editable Instagram templates. These templates allowed the client to produce new content while maintaining a consistent and recognizable visual identity. The result was a more cohesive and professional social media presence that strengthened the school's brand recognition. The refreshed identity was warmly received by both the client and her students, making the transition feel like a natural evolution of an already well-established brand.
